As of yesterday, this is the state of the wurstwarmer. I've got a good chunk done since then, too!
I am also mid-swatch for a cabled cardigan for a friend... Ambitious and slightly unnerving task...

In which I introduce the ski sweater
So I totally goofed on getting proper FO photos of Celes... Oh well, I know it is getting heavy regular use at least!
But this sweater, oh... read on.
My friend's grandmother knit this sweater for his sister, whom it did not fit, so my friend appropriated it for himself.
My friend's family has a daschund.
If you guessed that I am going to make the wee doggie a matching sweater... you guessed right.
I have no doubt the dog will hate me forever, but it's not really for him, is it?
Now, to find a daschund sweater pattern...
Also, if anyone out there has a dinosaur slipper pattern? That would be amazing.

In which there is divine inspiration
I was minding my own business doing some homework and most likely daydreaming about a project I had promised to make for a co-worker when all of a sudden the clouds parted and I was bathed in a warm light, and I knew what I must do. Shibui. Stripes. Sockhead Hat (yes, another one). All feels like a little bit of something divine.
Oh, and for those curious, I have begun a 365 project. I am keeping it confined to flickr most likely, but feel free to click through and take a gander.

In which there is no knitting
Hey there people!
I know, long time no update, and I don't even have any knitting to show - I'm between projects.
But I have been making just a bit of time lately to play around with my camera at least (in between school and work).
And you may have noticed that I am not a huge fan of posting photos of myself, but it's been a while, so here you go.

IN which I am very thankful
So, I don't have too much to say.
Laminaria, Harrisville Designs New England Shetland (Loden Blue), 4.0mm for the shoulder are, then 4.5mm for the bulk of the shawl. Photos are taken on a queen size bed - this shawl is LARGE. I love this pattern, I love this yarn (as always), I love this shawl - 7 weeks from start to photos. In the next few days I will be shipping this out to Philadelphia to the absolutely incredibly lovely Andrea, who graciously heeded my plea and gifted(!!!) me the camera which I used for these very photos after my old one died. I am still working out the camera, but maybe Andrea will have some in-use shots for us all once it arrives! Not to belabour the matter, but THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK Andrea!
Just enjoy the photos.
