In which I have something to show you!

People! People! Look!

DSCN1747

I have things for you to look at again!

DSCN1758

I have to get used to this camera, but I'm having a blast playing around with it already (it works so differently from my old one, this may take a while). The colour is not deep enough in those photos, it's a beautiful deep, rich blue and green colour. The yarn is Harrisville Designs New England Shetland being knit up into Laminaria for Andrea as a thank you for the camera. I can't wait to play around more!

I'm back, people!

In which, best mail day EVER!

Oh my, guys and gals.
I have a camera again.
I will get a new card and reader tomorrow, and then, oh, there will be even more excitement.

Andrea, Thank you so, so much!

In which a gift arrives

So the thesis mitts arrived safe and sound, and their new owner graciously acquiesced to my request for photos!

Multiplier!

I call that a successful knit, don't you? You're almost done, kidd, you can beat the thesis!

In other knitting news, I am nearly done the start chart of Laminaria! No photos of course, but hopefully that will change soon...

In which yeehaw

Excitement! I'll tell you all soon enough, but for now I will say that it involves a re-knit of Laminaria, and I am beyond excited so far.

In which mail is sent

Well, the Thesis Mitts were completed (took just over a week, all told), and sent off yesterday - hopefully the recipient will be able to snag some photos I can toss up for y'all!

In the meantime I am knitting... nothing. It's a few weeks in crisis mode for school right now, then I can knit again. Also I need to save up some money for the next project!

Sorry for the boring posts, but without a camera, I haven't got anything to show you! (If anyone had a spare digital camera loafing about, you know where to send it!)

Take care peoples!

In which my camera... is kaput

OK, so.

It's time to face the fact that my camera is nearly kaput. I mean, these are the best photos I've been able to coax out of it for the last few days.

IMG_6228

But, the Thesis Mitts are ripping along. If I sat down, I could crank out a pair in a day, maybe two. As it is, I hope to have these down by the end of the week, provided all goes well.

IMG_6232

Next in line, Daybreak! (I'm on the hunt for a really great mossy green/grey pairing). Following that, I'm contemplating a request knit of some considerable magnitude. This is, I know, a significant departure from my knitting tendencies, but I am considering it for now.

I hope you all have a lovely Sunday, and a fabulous week.

In which there is little content

So, I finished the hat, and gifted it... and completely forgot to get photos! I am the worst blogger! By the way, the yarn was Araucania Ranco, and the pattern was Sockhead Hat by Kelly McClure, and it was very very well received.

Next in line is a pair of Endpaper(Thesis) Mitts, but I am resisting casting on until I get a bit caught up on schoolwork. After that I am thinking I will knit Daybreak, but I am waiting on colour confirmation for the yarn.

Hope you are all well in this February! I promise I will post something substantial soon.

In which I buy more yarn. And am very sick.

And, as promised, the colours for other new project.

And now, back to not getting any of my copious amounts of work done. Too busy leaking sick juices...

In which... cat butt

So, socks are nearly done.
Sadly, pretty much every photo I try to take looks something like this

or this.

IMG_6214

Yeah, thanks a lot cats. There will be cat soup on the menu if some certain furry someones don't smarten up.

In other news, I started something with this!

IMG_6215

But I will talk about that later. Also, about the next few projects in the lineup.

Have a good end of January, peoples!
